Driver CPC Training in Scotland
Ernie Best in association with Pride Training UK Ltd, one of the first and most respected Driver CPC Approved Training Centre are providing cost efficient and flexible Driver CPC training for Scotland and based in the West Highlands of Scotland.
Our aim is to provide modular training that will add value to your business which your drivers will find memorable and you will find effective. Our courses will cover drivers’ hours, vehicle checks, vehicle loading, Eco and advanced driving, customer care, and improving corporate image.
We are also seeking approval for a one to one on-the-job driver course that will enable your LGV drivers to undertake driver training with a DSA Approved LGV instructor during their normal working day.

The Driver CPC has been implemented by the European Union to improve the knowledge of truck, bus and coach drivers which in turn will improve road safety.
All PCV drivers who passed their PCV driving test before 10th September 2008 now have until September 2013 to undertake 35 hours of approved Driver CPC training. They will have to undertake this training every five years if they wish to continue to drive professionally.
LGV drivers have a little longer. LGV Driver CPC requirements come into effect on 10th September this year; giving them until 2014 to complete their Driver CPC training.
Ernie Best and Pride Training encourage operators and drivers to do 7hrs Driver CPC Training per year.
Our trainers will travel to you, the client, to complete the training, or to a nearby suitable location. This is for both LGV and PCV operators in Scotland.
The modules could be a mix and match for the individual operator for example:
- Drivers Hours
- Vehicle Checks
- Vehicle loading
- Eco and Advanced driving
- Customer care and corporate image
- Tacho hrs Use etc.
It may be possible that any subject an individual operator requires can be catered for.
We are be able to quote a “day rate” rather than a rate per individual driver.
Operators who have only a few drivers could consider linking with another operator to take advantage of the day rate fee and to increase their control over what is delivered and when it is delivered.
